Enchanted Halloween sampler! *sneak peek*

I love this time of year! The weather starts to change, the world around us gets more colourful and the ghosts and ghouls get prepared for the best night of the year! yup you guessed it Halloween will soon be upon us! 😄

More than any other holiday I most look forward to Halloween so when enchanted started talking about their Halloween collection I started to get excited! I know it’s only September and there’s still a little sunshine left but when it was announced on her facebook page that this year Sarah would be releasing a halloween sampler so you could smell and sample the scents before choosing which products you wanted in your Halloween set I gave a little squeal! Especially when Sarah messaged me and asked if I’d like to receive a sampler to review on my blog and YouTube channel.

What makes this even more exciting is the theme, Disney villains! I’m totally loving this theme and can’t wait to see the Halloween sets once they have been prepared. There’s not much else I can say without revealing too much sooo. ..
This morning I received my special EARLY sampler! wanna peek?? 😉

If you want to order a Halloween set they will be available to order on the enchanted website between the 20th–30th of September and will be handmade ready to be dispatched from the 21st October just in time for Halloween:D there are a few sets to choose from depending on your price range and I believe there are a few prizes up for grabs. Be sure to check out the enchanted Facebook page for more info
I already know which scents I need!
All will be revealed on September the 15th 😄

**I received this product free of charge for reviewing purposes. My opinions and pictures are my own**

Rosegirls haul!

20140305-095757 am.jpg

I am a MASSIVE wax addict! My warmers are always brimming with gorgeous scented wax so you can imagine how excited I was to find out about rosegirls! From the US rosegirls is ran by Jenny and her mum Kathy. Originally started by Kathy I think jenny now mainly runs the business alone. I came across this company whilst watching a few *cough* videos on YouTube and their wax is gorgeous! Really pretty chunks and the scents are Devine! I’ve always been a fruity fan but rosegirls bakery scents are scrummy (yeah it’s a word.. 😀 ) and I could literally melt their coffee scents all week long..and I don’t even like coffee! Anyway enough gushing..I visited the rosegirls page on Facebook and found out that there was a UK supplier. Her name is Marie and I joined her Facebook page found here and was then added to her business group. She also has a website the gifting corner where spare bags of chunks and brittle are occasionally sold. The way it works in the US is rosegirls open for a short time every few months (5 minutes one month!! How mental is that!) the UK is slightly different and on August 7th 2013 I placed my first order. The TAT for this was around October so around 8 weeks. I ordered X1 20 chunk sampler £35 – 20 individual chunks of randomly scented chunks. X5 bags £10 each Frosty palace Starburst surprise Candy land Sweet lemon confection brittle Paradise brittle Plus 3 of my friends and myself arranged a pie slice club. Buy a pie each and then swap quarters so we would end up with 4 quarter in 4 different scents rather than a whole pie in a single scent. Large pie -taste the rainbow scent £32! I received the first items from my order on 14/12/2013

20140305-102134 am.jpg I did plan on making a blog post about my whole order so didn’t keep a record of which scents I received in this sampler…I didn’t receive my next parcel until yesterday 04/03/2014 so most of these chunks have been melted.I can say I was very happy with most of the scents received and i would definitely purchase more samplers in the future if available. Yesterday I got my 2nd parcel from my August order.

20140305-102526 am.jpg Rosegirls bags.

20140305-102616 am.jpg Paradise brittle bag. ” Freshly squeezed lime with slices of orange, lemon and pineapple” On cold throw this is a really nice tangy fruity scent.

20140305-103028 am.jpg The frost palace chunk bag “Blue raspberry ice chunks with cherry almond overpour” This is like a chilled bake well tart? Really nice and very sweet.

20140305-103254 am.jpg Orange nosegasm chunk bag “Orange revival blended with cutout cookie, with sweet frosting. candied cherries and fruits along with frosting sprinkles and powdered sugar” On cold throw I definitely get orange and a slight bakery note. Can’t wait to melt this one!

20140305-104006 am.jpg This is half my pie 😀

20140305-104056 am.jpg Taste the rainbow “Satsuma chunks, Florida key lime pie chunks, purple cow chunks over poured with chicks dig it” When I ordered I was really excited to try this. I’d read reviews which likened it to a skittle like scent but I’m not a fan! I love sweet lime but the Florida key lime pie isn’t sweet as I expected and the chicks dig it overpour is too tart for me. Good job I only have 2 slices in this scent and not a whole pie! The pie slices are good sizes, each weighing 3/4 oz (8 slices per pie) I still have 1 bag remaining from my August order and I’m hoping this will arrive soon. I love rosegirls and did make a large order in October but since my August order isn’t fully complete 6 months later I decidid to cancel and try to purchase bags as and when they become available. Have you tried rosegirls? Would love to hear your favourite scents 😀

Moosterbubble haul/review

I stumbled across moosterbubble on Facebook and just looking at the pictures I knew I had to place an order.
Found here on facebook I contacted Jennifer The owner and after a little chat chose a few products to try. She’s really quick to reply to mails and is really lovely to deal with. You can also purchase from her website here.

Beautifully packaged my parcel arrived a couple of days later. Very fast dispatch and everything arrived in perfect condition.

20140301-110141 pm.jpg
I ordered :-
x2 sugar rush bath bombs
X2 sugar rush bubble bars
X1 bite me bubblebar
X1 shower fluff in bite me scent.

20140301-110558 pm.jpg
Bubblebar in bite me scent. £3 each

20140301-110646 pm.jpg

Bubblebar in sugar rush scent. £3each
I used this the day I got it and was very impressed! The bubblebar itself is very easy to work with. I’ve been a “lushie” for the past few years and if you have ever used one of their bubblebars you’ll know they can be quite solid. This one from moosterbubble was firm but easy to break and very easy to crumble under the tap. The bubbles were plentiful and I still had bubbles when I got out almost an hour later!

20140301-111210 pm.jpg
I took a quick picture as I started running the water. You can see that the bubbles are already fluffy and they filled the bath. I only used 1/3 of the bar and could probably have gotten away with using less. The scent wasn’t too strong, which I prefer as my bathroom is small and I lock the door whilst having a bath.

20140301-111850 pm.jpg
Shower fluff in bite me scent £3.50 (150ml)
I am a big fan of bodywashes, whipped soaps was really excited to give this a try. I love the glitter on the top and the fluff itself is very creamy. I used a little on my shower puff and it foamed up really well and left my skin feeling clean and soft. The scent lingers on your skin after use and again is not too overpowering. Jennifer offers a wide range of scents you can choose for shower fluffs so ill definitely be trying more in different scents.

20140301-112901 pm.jpg
Sugar rush bath bomb £2.25
I used this the day it arrived and all I can say is wow! I like to be in the bath when I use my bombs so no pictures but you really need to try these!
As a “lushie” I love bath bombs but only really like the creamy ones like twilight or dragons egg..I would go as far as to say I preferred this bomb to any I’ve had from lush! It seemed to fizz slowly for ages leaving the water bright pink and soft. I play with my bombs with my hands and have many times come away with brightly coloured hands after using a lush bomb! My least favourite being bright orange hands from an enchanter bomb!…but despite the water being a vibrant pink my hands remained colour free 🙂 the packaging for these is lovely, especially the cute ribbon tied around the top of the packaging. They would make great gifts for friends.
Based on the price and experience if I had to choose then moosterbubble bath bombs definitely would get my custom.
Overall very impressed by this company and will definitely be making more purchases in the future.

kringle candles (review)

I have heard  people mention burners and wax tarts alot over the past few weeks so I cheekily asked my mum to try to pick me up a burner when she went shopping last week. she managed to find me a small burner and a couple of Yankee tarts and dropped them off that evening. I had never used a burner before and as it was so small I knew without a doubt that a full tart wouldn’t fit so I cut it into quarters and used a small quarter in the top of the burner. the room was immediately filled with a sickly flowery scent of lilacs( Lilac Blossoms)which after only a few minutes started to cause a headache. I was disappointed but thought that as I don’t particularly like floral scents I should try to find a scent which would agree with me more and had a quick search online. I came across yankeedoodle and this is where I first heard about Kringle candles. I was surprised to read that the creator of Yankee candles is the father of Mike Kittredge III who is the creator of Kringle candles

When he was just sixteen my father Mike Kittredge made a candle using his old childhood crayons for his mother’s Christmas present. Within a year, the antique Queen Anne stove you see here had become the heart of a tiny but fast-growing business called the Yankee Candle Company. By following his inspiration and always stressing quality, my father made Yankee the candle industry standard which reshaped the modern giftware landscape. He sold Yankee Candle in 1998, and retired from the world of wax and wicks – or so he thought.

In 2008, I made my first candle on this same old stove purely for fun; I had just turned nineteen. So when my 2009 college course required that I create and promote a product, my choice was natural: candles. As I worked on the project I felt a great sense of heritage and fulfillment, and an idea that wouldn’t go away formed in the back of my mind. – copied from the Kringle candle website

After reading reviews for both Yankee candles and Kringle candles I decided to have a look at what Kringle candles had to offer and popped over to their website

I love the set-out of the website and the fact that you can search by either scent or style and spent  about an hour looking through the different scent descriptions before deciding which items to try. I picked the fruit wax pot pourri starter kit and a couple of breakables in various scents. All Kringle products are white and compliment each other regardless of scent which I personally love. coloured tumblers are available if preferred.

wax pot pourri are similar to Yankee tarts but chunkier.

breakables come in a little tub and are moulded into segments which can be broken off and used. the remaining segments can then be placed back into the tub for easy storage.

I ordered just before easter so there was a slight delay in receiving the items which according to reviews are usually quickly delivered in around 1-2 days after ordering. on receiving my order I sat down with the boys and had a good olde sniffing session and I was pleasantly surprised by the scents. It’s hard to describe exactly how they smell but if  I compare them to Yankee candles they are much more true to scent and much milder. The watermelon actually smells like watermelon and is strong enough to  make the whole downstairs smell delicious but not so strong it causes a headache. I was so impressed I made another order the same day for more breakables and a couple of daylights which are larger versions of tealights. They also have an impressive selection of burners in various styles starting from just £4 so I treated myself to a new burner aswell (picture at the top of the review) I have  since tried a few other scents in the Yankee candle range but I personally find them too strong and artificial smelling when compared to Kringle.

overall I am very impressed with the company and the products it has to offer and will be making many more orders in the future. 10/10

*** I chose and paid for these items myself and this review is my own personal opinion of the company and its products ***

No computer…arrgghhh!

That awful feeling when you realise the computer isn’t working and you are unable to get online…

on monday night hubby badly sprained his foot and while I was very sympathetic at first now…not so much.

“babe can you just get me this?”

“babe could you just do that?” blah blah blah…. 🙂

I finally managed to sneak away and get all comfy ready for a good old blogging session when I realise the awful truth! the computers not coming on and I have no other way to get online!! so for the past few days I have paced the house anxiously awaiting the return of my beloved computer, and when she finally returned I literally could have cried in relief.

As a mum of 3, getting online at the end of the day is the only way to catch up on news and friends gossips, especially during the school holidays when im unlikely to see family and friends. why not phone them you ask.. well the second I say hello 3 little people suddenly have  a sudden and very loud need to tell me something that can’t wait for even a few seconds never mind a few minutes 😛

so this is my first post since monday (that’s 4 days with no computer! ) and I have lots of lovely blogs to catch up on this afternoon as well as competitions and surveys to complete. emails to check and replys to send and maybe a few minutes on Facebook …(it would be rude not to…:)  )

Got2b glued (review)

Zak is 9 and he’s at that age where the way he looks is really important to him. His hair is his favorite feature and he’s always on the lookout for new gels and products which make his hair do what he wants it to do. Because his hair is really thick and coarse it has been a struggle finding a gel which has a strong enough hold but he’s finally found one he really likes.

Got2be glues is made by Schwarzkopf and the hold is fantastic! The gel itself is really thick and sticky and it absorbs into the hair really well. Zak is able to produce some really impressive spikes 🙂 The gels white which I thought might be a problem on zaks black hair ,but as long as it is rubbed in properly it’s not visible at all. It holds his spikes for hours and has even withstood him wearing a hat. It has a pleasant scent which is not too strong.

Zaks favorite 10/10
